Ímpetu takes the representations of polarity and relativism featured in En Carril a step further and explores magnetism, the most physical representation of opposing forces. The patterns that iron filaments form when acted upon by a magnet are contrasted with the patterns formed by the natural movement of a crowd in a similar two-channel projection format. It prompts the question: If iron filings form these patterns through the control of a greater magnetic force, what is the greater force causing the people to move similarly? Music? The power of collectivity?

The audio is the sound of a windmill layered on top of itself as a further, non-visual representation of natural force.
